PAINTING/ DRAWING

NAYE

I create art keeping in mind that everything is political, thus, my art can function both as a typical aesthetic object as well as a political statement that can articulate ideas people may not immediately understand from words.

MICAH

I am a self-taught calligraphy artist. Every day, I get inspired by the beauty that surrounds me and I try to transform these inspirations into creating little pieces of art that have the aim to motivate and remind everyone to enjoy their lives.

PHOEBE

I really enjoy creating art because it not only helps me connect with those around me but it also helps me have a better relationship with myself.

LUNA

Most of my artwork challenges what women usually face in a daily basis, from being excluded from society because of their gender, to trying to change their physical appearance to fit societies standards. Women don't usually see diversity around them, media has become a big influence towards what women want to look like. Having these diverse women in my pieces hopefully motivates women around the world to be proud of their appearance and where they come from. Freedom and power are other topics portrayed by the women in my artwork. Femininity should not be defined as frail and weak, but strong and independent.

EMPOWERED WOMAN

I draw nude images to show that all bodies of all shapes and sizes are equally as beautiful.
