WHAT IS LOVE?

Love is... weird.
I don't really understand it.
I'm not even sure I believe in the existence of love.
But then again- what is love?
Maybe it's different for everyone.
So I googled the definition of love, and the result that came up was "A strong feeling of affection"
Now I don't know if people agree with that or not.
I've personally never been in love.
There's a song by the Lumineers that goes
"The opposite of love is indifference"
So maybe love means caring?
But then I suppose it would just be called caring and not love.
It's all a bit confusing.
Sometimes I wish I understood it.
It seems nice to be in love.
(At least from what I've heard from other people)
But then I thought about it more. And I realised that it's. So. Scary.
People want this... "Love" thing SO MUCH.
But it's so... uncertain.
People fall in love and then out of love and then in love again with another person.
And apparently each time is as intense as the last (if not more)
And you never really know what someone else's thoughts are and so you just have to trust.
Which sounds awful.
But maybe that's why people like it?
I want to know if love is fun.
(Assuming that it does exist)
I'm guessing it is, because otherwise people would stay away from it and not look for it so desperately.
It's just fascinating to think about how this emotion moves people.
Some people sacrifice so much for love.
Some people make relationships work from hundreds of miles away, for love.
Romeo and Juliet fucking died for it.
Some people say that life's purpose is to find love.
Other people say "All you need is love"
I'm not sure about what love is yet. Maybe one day I'll find out what love is and start to believe in it.
Maybe I'll run into you fifteen years from now and tell you that I'm married.
I don't really know.
We'll see.
